Definition of Event tree:

1. A type of tree diagram representing the possible subsequent events and consequences of a particular event (especially an accident or other hazardous situation) and the risk involved; frequently attributive, especially in event tree analysis.

2. Graphical technique that uses Boolean operators to evaluate the consequences of a risk by drawing (mapping) all probable outcomes of an initiating event in their logical sequence.
